How
many batteries do I need to
supply 25,000 watts of daily
power?
Take the battery bank voltage
string and times this by the
amp hour rating of the
battery.
48 VDC (i.e. 4 batteries in
series @ 12 volts each).
Each 12 VDC battery is rated @
225 amp hours.
48 VDC X 225 amp hours =
10,800 daily production watts.
To accommodate your need of
25,000 watts per day, times
your battery string of 10,800
watts per day by 4 battery
strings in a series parallel
configuration.
10,800 X 5 = 54,000 daily
watts needed
5 battery strings X 4
batteries per string = 20
batteries needed.
These batteries will need to
be wired in a series parallel
configuration.
This is due to the battery
degration factor of 50%. You
never want to run your
batteries lower than 50% of
your total battery bank (i.e.
25,000 watt hours desired).
This is because you can
diminish the longevity of your
batteries.
4 batteries X 12V = 48 VDC X
225 Ah = 10,800 X 5 = 54,000
54,000 is 1/2 of your 25,000
daily watt requirement.
To get a 2 day supply, simply
double your battery bank.

How many batteries amp hours do I need to
supply my needed kWh per
day?
Lets say you need 20 kWh
per day, take this number
(i.e. 20) and divide it by
a battery voltage string
(i.e. 48 VDC).
20 Divided by 48 VDC
(Batteries in series) =
416.66
416.66 is your daily amp
hours used per day
Times this number by 2 =
832.32 (Because of the
battery degration factor
of 50%).
832.32 is the amp hours
per day you will need to
supply your current kWh
requirement.
